Watching someone who has prayed for a love this deep become terrified the moment it finally arrives.
The Divine Masculine may recognize her with his soul before he knows how to hold her with his heart.
He moves closer because something within him whispers, This is home.
Then he pulls away because everything unhealed inside him whispers, This is dangerous.
He may promise forever and mean every word—until the connection reaches places within him he has spent a lifetime trying not to feel.
And that is the heartbreak.
Not that the love was false.
Not that the connection meant nothing.
But that sometimes the soul is ready to surrender long before the wounded heart feels safe enough to stay.
He is not always running from her.
Sometimes, he is running from the version of himself this love is asking him to become.
