Funeral

Today was a beautiful tribute to an incredible woman. The fact that people came from across the country to be here says a lot about the impact she had people throughout her years.

It’s hard to fathom the idea that 66 years old is old enough to pass, yet compared to so many others it’s a full life. My memories of Christine have faded as they are mostly from my youth when our families lived two homes apart and each of us siblings paired up perfectly with our age.

Reality check! You never know when your time is going to be here, so live each day to its fullest and make sure you appreciate all that you have and those that are sharing their time with you. Family doesn’t always connect us through blood, but the journey throughout your life.

Tomorrow morning, I will be heading back to Syracuse and even though a funeral isn’t the optimal time for photos I decided to take a few. There was a purchase a memory keepsake for her husband I hope to make a tribute collage for the siblings with the few I took. I just hope it comes out as nicely as it is in my head.

Be humble, be kind, be present and love! We all need to adopt life’s more simple mantras!
