On this day 50 years ago, Martin Luther

On this day 50 years ago, Martin Luther King Jr. gave a speech referencing the Declaration of Independence, Emancipation Proclamation, and our Constitution amongst other great writings! The speech is more well known for it’s words “I have a dream…..” as he speaks of his hopes for future generations. I often wonder if he would be proud of the progress this country has made or saddened by the long way we still have to go.
I, too, have a dream that a day will come before I pass our people will no longer be divided by our differences of any kind. A day that our “leaders” aren’t influenced by their pockets. A day where corporate greed is part of a history lesson and our country is once again back on track to being great as our founding fathers had envisioned us to be! A day where equality truly exists!
