Why women should lift Weights!!

First off, it is important to note that if you are a woman and you lift weights, you will not turn into the hulk. We do not have enough testosterone nor are we built genetically for that. So no worries! In fact, lift heavy too!

1) You metabolism will be faster! The more muscle you have, the faster your metabolism…. even at rest

2) You’ll become a fat burning machine! As I mentioned, the more muscle you have, the more fat you’ll burn at rest. “Muscle tissue is more “active” than fat tissue, with each pound burning about 30 calories a day just to sustain itself”

3) You’ll look leaner and tighter. Even if you weigh the same or more than before … it’s the inches that count

4) Muscle helps remove glucose and triglycerides from the bloodstream, therefore reducing your risk of type 2 diabetes and the hardening of your arteries!

5) Helps strengthen the bones!

So yea… get lifting!
